Feedback on the change of direction
Hello. This is my feedback as to why I used to like your stuff, and why now I'm not really enjoying it. Maybe it helps somebody, or gets ignored - I don't really care. I hope someone reads it though.
Disclaimer: it's a personal opinion, so if everyone else disagrees - that's OK.
Let me start by saying that I first started watching in late 2005, and my feedback concerns Hogtied and DeviceBondage mostly.
Kink.com used to have a certain niche. There was this very static niche occupied by SocietySM and those sites, where you get a bound girl, some toys are used, scene over; another, more sadistic niche focusing on predicaments in form of Insex; a more fetish-y "a bit of everything" from Gord, as well as some very acted-up roleplaying videos from other studios.
But Hogtied was that site that had a unique feel, where the dominant was hands-on with the girl, played with her like a toy, but at the same time the focus of the scene was almost always on pleasure, and what's more important - torment through pleasure. You could depend that in every shoot the girl would be made to cum until she begged to stop at least in one scenes, and sometimes all of them. And floggers or canes were used not so much to hurt her and get a sadistic relief, but to throw her off balance.
Today, that's totally gone. Don't get me wrong, Pope is a GREAT dominant for what he does. It's just that the thing he does is not unique anymore. Basically, Kink.com has left its strong niche and instead stepped into the Insex niche, only to a milder degree. The feel of the two sites is really similar right now, only one is more brutal than the other. You still make sure to make a girl cum in most scenes, but it is treated more like a reward now than the main content. You make her hurt, then reward her with 1-2 orgasms, then quickly leave her alone, fade to black. Orgasms and pleasure used to be the main focus, where there were scenes and even entire shoots with zero impact play, zero pain aside from maybe nipple clamps or a strict hogtie - and cumming, cumming, cumming until she can't take it any longer. 90% of your shoots had that scene. Today, it's like 5%, and I mean - WTF happened?! This was your biggest strength for decades, and you just stepped away from that and started basically doing SadisticRope only. It was a good site when it didn't take away from the main feature, but now the main feature has become it.
The feel also changed in the way your dominant interacts with the girl. It used to be that the Dom was clearly in charge and was playing with the model. Today, it's more like the chemistry of sexual partners where the Pope helps her to discover some S&M stuff, with lots of back and forth and a lot of attention visibly paid to her reactions. It was more objectifying, sort of, before. The "We may talk but I'll do whatever I wanna do with you" versus the "Let me show you what I can do, and you give me feedback how it feels.". It's in a way more respectful to the model - which, don't get me wrong, is the right way to arrange the work environment, but not necessarily the hottest fantasy. Maybe you can't get back to the older style for legal reasons, but it was definitely more enjoyable for me to imagine myself with that old kind of Dom versus a new one.
What I THINK you should do as a business - is look into the possibility of stepping back into that niche you have left. Either go back or open a new site where the main focus is pleasure play, and not in a sense "make her feel good and then stop", but in a sense "Make her wish for the pleasure to stop". Orgasm denial, edging, and lots of forced orgasms, with some light flogger or cane play just to get her warmed up.
I feel that pain is too much of a focus for The Pope, and all of the scenes basically boil down to "Here's my 10 favorite ways to hurt you. Good girl, now have an orgasm as a reward. Just one. Onto the next scene, where we will just do the same in a different position!"
I'm really sad that there is no one who makes videos that you used to be making.

I totally agree with you. I think with the way things have been going, everything has to revolve around a set of rules or a list of things they plan out and time. I will do this this and this and then we are done. I understand there is laws and guidelines to follow, but the creativity is gone. They have more of a schedule and the expectations are low I think. I think it is more about just pumping out the same style of shoots now versus back in Kinks old scenes where you would have models who tried a shoot liked it and came back for more knowing what to expect. They don't have to do painful things like you said it was more about bondage with pleasure and trying new things to entice the experience. I use to enjoy watching the same type of scenes you are describing. Even my partner enjoyed the older style scenes because it was more about the model enjoying the scene and trying new things and alot of the times they were able to push themselves and it was awesome to watch. Like i think it would be hot if obviously at the beginning when they are just chit chatting and asking what they like and what they do and don't want if they were to say would you like to try this or this maybe just give them some different options or things to try. For instance maybe throw in something in the shoot to surprise them with something they might try. I think it'd be hot to surprise them with something mid shoot like hey here is some ice cubes to play with your nipples or you want to try these nipple pumps or nipple clamps or just something to kind of add to the pleasure. Like maybe throw in a different vibrator or different toy into the bondage. Some of the older shoots even used clit pumps or pussy pumps. The scenes with the fucking machines being used on device bondage and hogtied were amazing back in the day. Bring those back in please. I also think it would be great to get another female dom in on some scenes as well. I personally think Kink could benefit from getting a few female doms to do some scenes on Device Bondage and Hogtied and it would be awesome. It would be amazing to see a new lesbian dom come in and add some flare into a device bondage scene. She could come in while they are tied up and do some fantastic oral on top of the usual things ( strapon, fingering, vibrators, different toys, etc) If Kink could do a bit more in the pleasure department I'm all for it. (on those 2 sites) I would love to see more scenes were the model is edged and teased and then is given multiple orgasms over and over. I totally agree with you on that.
I also would like to see Kink try and do something more on EverythingButt and WhippedAss as well. I think the scenes are hot but they are all coming out almost the same now. Its like they have things mapped out now with less flow. I really miss the shoots where there was an overall theme to it. For instance I think it would be hot to do an Everything Butt shoot with some different toys and a theme of cheerleaders, sexy mechanics, sport theme, sexy librarians, sexy nurses, sexy police officers, step mom and daughter, lesbian movie parodies,etc. I also would love to see more toys. They have so many models nowadays doing crazy anal with all kinds of different dildos and strapons. I'm not saying they all have to be GIANT dildos but maybe bring in some new stuff. I also really like the WhippedAss shoots with models who are tied up teased and made to orgasm over and over. Maybe throw in some more pussy fisting and DP scenes and some more nipple play and pumps. Kink always had some awesome shoots with Nipple Clamps and Pumps. The female on female lesbian domination was always top notch, its just kind of plain now. I think it would be hot to see some more as you say pleasure scenes. Also I think it would be cool to mix in some more unique camera angles and upclose scenes. I personally would love to see more close ups on the models post orgasm. They never show the pussy after an intense orgasm. I loved seeing the model drip her juices upclose after an orgasm. I think some POV style scenes would be great as well. Some different angles such as from the bottom of the floor pointed up or from right over the top of the model as well. I also think it would be hot to see some different strapons different sizes and just more toys in scenes. Also some more audio that puts you right there in the scene if that makes sense. More 3D type of audio where you can't really hear them talking it more about hearing the wetness, the slaps, the blow jobs, the deepthroats, the gagging, spittings, the moans.(ASMR)
Lastly I really hope Kink can bring back Fucking Machines. It was one of the best channels on Kink. They had a good thing going right before it got canned with the light bondage involved but I think if they brought it back and used different machines not just the same old same old it would be amazing.
